You are to solve mahjong puzzles going from one place of Egypt to another. In this game you can match not only identical tiles, but also the related ones.

In LUXOR Mahjong you are to travel through Egypt in search of the stolen treasure. You will have to solve the mahjong puzzles going from one place to another.

The mahjong puzzles are very typical- you have to match two identical tiles. But the rule is that only the tiles on the top and sides of the pile are available. The trick of this game is that you can also match the tiles that are related and not necessarily identical.

For example, feel free to match flower tiles or the tiles with Egyptian characters. This helps a lot when no moves seem to be possible.

The game features three modes: Adventure, Single, and Traditional with each one of them having three levels of difficulty.

There are three modes in LUXOR Mahjong. The Adventure Mode is the plot-driven mode with all this traveling through Egypt. In the beginning of the game you are presented with a map that you follow till the end.

The reason why you'd better start from this mode is that the further you get here, the more boards you can play in two other modes. Then there is The Single Mode, in which you can choose to play any of the previously unlocked in The Adventure Mode boards.

And the third mode is The Traditional Mode that contains loads of different layouts. Each mode offers three levels of difficulty: Pharaoh's Challenge (Expert), Noble's Adventure (Normal) and Scribe's Journey (Beginner). So, now you see that the game will be good for a gamer of any level.

The power-ups are very helpful and available right on your board.

There are five power-ups that are very helpful at clearing the board. They are just like any other tiles can be used any time. You don't have to use all of them but it would be wise to do that to finish a level sooner. The power-ups are really good. For example, The Horus Transformation power-up lets you select two tiles and the second will become identical to the first, and then you can remove the pair. The Set's Storm power-up that destroys all the tiles, which are identical to the one you click. There's also The Vision of Isis power-up that shows you all possible matches for any tile you click within 30 seconds.

The graphics of the game are very Egypt-themed. The music makes you also feel like you are in Egypt. LUXOR Mahjong proves to be one of the best games of this type having all it takes for a highly polished mahjong game.
